Persian Rugs - Oushak, Kazak, Heriz and Serapi Rugs

Oushak or Ushak rugs are Turkish rugs that use a particular family of designs. Oushak rug's origin can be traced back to the Ottoman empire. Oushak rugs are evergreen Persian rugs. Heriz rugs originate from the city of Heriz in the province of East Azerbaijan in Nort West Iran. Heriz rugs have been made for centuries and carry a tradition and art. With roots to the people who inhabited the majestic Caucasus Mountains since the dawn of history, tribal weavers who occupied the region’s highest encampments and small alpine villages created a powerful rug style known as Kazak.
