Lori Rugs
Lori rugs, made by the natives of Lorestan in western Iran, are traditional tribal rugs. Weavers of the Lori culture make traditional carpets with motifs and styles comparable to those of the Kurds. Lori carpets are woven using hand-made implements according to centuries-old, time-honored methods that have been passed down from generation to generation for millennia. Lori rugs are flat-woven, which means that they lack a pile. Flat weave is a weaving method in which no knots are employed.
